Snowbum
Snowbum was developed for our friends at Onefoot AS. It is a lightweight and easy sled for children between the ages of 4 and 12. It also works well for most adults. The sled has cushioning and robust side handles. This gives a good connection between the user and sled, improving the steering control. The third handle in the middle is mainly for carrying the sled. The product is made from injection molded HDPE, except from the insulating padding in the seat. It is easy to disassemble when the product goes to recycling.
The development process included prototypes made with vacuum forming, and user testing in ski slopes. The prototype testing gave valuable information, and we went ahead with developing CAD files for production.
In addition to the CAD production files, we delivered a CMF (color/material/finish) specification, and renderings showing the desired color options.
